2017 SsangYong Tivoli XLV Review, Price

A model which will soon be on the market is 2017 SsangYong
Tivoli XLV. The SsangYong Tivoli was launched in 2015 as the
brand’s first new model under the ownership of Mahindra and
Mahindra. Named after an Italian town, Tivoli’s design is based
on the popular model, Korando.

This crossover was under development for three years and was
introduced early in 2015 in South Korea with small displacement
diesel and gasoline engines. Manufactured in South Korea,
Tivoli is sold across several markets in Europe and Asia. In
2016, this model lineup was expanded by SsangYong, when a
longer variant of the mini SUV was launched. This production
model arrives as 2017 SsangYong Tivoli XLV.

2017 SsangYong Tivoli XLV – Stylish Exterior and Interior

The Tivoli XLV is set apart from standard model mainly because
of its length. XLV model is 9.3 inches longer than standard
Tivoli. However, despite the additional length, both models
have the same wheelbase.

This is because XLV’s body is lengthened from behind C-pillar.
With longer overhang, there is a new rear end and a revised
roof. Also, there is an additional third row of side windows.
Tailgate design is boxier while taillights are larger and have
a new cluster layout.

2017 SsangYong Tivoli XLV also gets a few changes up front.
There is a new bumper up front to set it apart from the
standard model. Rather than general body coloured insert,
bumper features a black insert with dark grey edges. Fog lamps
also have chrome surrounds. The roof rails are larger and
longer, which allows carrying larger object on the roof.


As compared to standard Tivoli model, the XLV model offers
expanded storage capacity. With an enlarged truck, 25.4 cubic
feet of cargo space is offered. This means an increase of 10.5
cubic feet as compared to the regular crossover. Aside from
this additional space, the interior of XLV is much identical to
the standard model.

2017 SsangYong Tivoli XLV comes with heated, leather wrapped
and flat-bottomed steering wheel as standard. The modern
instrument cluster is on offer it comes with six background
colours. With complete adjustability and recline functionality,
seats have high-quality stitching and subtle lateral bolsters.
Three interior trim colours are offered, including red, beige
and black.

Standard features offered with this model include digital dual
zone auto air conditioning and an infotainment system with
7-inch touchscreen, RDS radio, USB/AUX port, Bluetooth and iPod
connectivity. Navigation system and a rearview camera are also
included as standard.

2017 SsangYong Tivoli XLV – Drivetrain

There is a 1.6-liter diesel engine under the hood of XLV model.
This engine is capable of generating 113 hp and 221 lb-ft of
torque. It is paired with either a six-speed automatic or a
six-speed manual transmission.

With the manual transmission, a start/stop functionality is
also on offer. Both Two Wheel Drive and Four Wheel Drive is
also on offer. The engine of the standard model is not offered
with 2017 SsangYong Tivoli XLV. Standard model
comes with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine rated at 124 hp and 116
lb-ft of torque.

This model will go on sale in UK and Europe in summer of 2016
with an approximate pricing of nearly $21,730. Kia Sportage and
