The styling of the new 2018 Ford Escape will be both modern and
sporty and that thanks to the current version facelift. The
model’s exterior design draws inspiration from hatchbacks and
also adopts Blue Oval Brand’s corporate face which debuted on
the 2013 Fusion sedan model.

The Escape’s front end styling will be characterized with large
six-sided grille and stylish swept-back headlights. Sporty
front bumper and creased hood will also add to it look.

Aggressive lines will continue to extend on models side panels
where strong character line and sculpted fenders will make it
more attractive. The story won’t change on its rear end where
wraparound taillights and carved sheetmetal will also look
attractive.

Interior:

Inside the cabin, the model will also feature dynamic and
modern design. The design will be good but material and build
quality will also. The model will also feature well-placed
controls that are easy to reach and seat comfort will also be
good. With all that, the roominess in the front and rear rows
will also be satisfying as well as available cargo space of 68

Trims, Equipment, safety:

Ford will offer its compact crossover in S, SE and Titanium
trims.

The base variant will include the Sync tech interface with
smartphone integration, six speakers, cloth upholstery, full
power accessories, remote keyless entry, rearview camera, etc.

The SE version will add turbocharged engine, 17-inch alloys,
for lights, LED DRLs, dual-zone climate control, 10-way power
and heated front seats, upgraded 8-inch infotainment interface,
leather upholstery, more safety features, etc.

The top trim will upgrade with ambient lighting, power
liftgate, premium Sony sound system, driver memory setting,
2.0-liter engine, etc.

The 2018 Escape will also offer the list of active safety
features. Available there will be forward collision prevention
with automatic braking, parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring,
lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, etc.

2018 Ford Escape: Powertrains, MPG

The new 2018 Ford Escape will likely offer the trio of engines
available on the current version, although Ford might
discontinue the base engine.

The base engine on the current model is a 2.5-liter
four-cylinder. It makes 168 horsepower and torque of 170
pound-feet. A six-speed automatic transmission will gear all
Escape models and standard will be front-wheel drive. The
all-wheel drive which can split 100 percent of power front to
rear will also be available but not with the base engine.

Among the two EcoBoost engines, the first will be a 1.5-liter
turbocharged four-cylinder unit. It can produce 179 hp and
torque of 177 lb-ft. The second turbocharged option will be a
2.0-liter four-cylinder engine.  It is at the top with 245
hp and 275 lb-ft of torque.

MPG:

The base engine will return 24 mpg combined. Equipped with the
1.5-liter engine and front-wheel drive, Escape will earn around
30 mpg combined. With all-wheel drive it will be around 28 mpg.
The top-of-the-line engine will provide 29 mpg combined with
FWD and 27 mpg combined with AWD.
