The new 2018 Jeep Wrangler Diesel coming soon. This is the next
generation Jeep Wrangler that has been seen testing in the
Michigan wild in recent times. The testing however has just
begun and there are many more tests to follow before the car
can be released into the market. Though what was seen during
the testing was covered there are some rumors and facts that

2018 Jeep Wrangler Diesel – Exterior and Interior Review
This car is likely to carry on the same dimensions as those
used in the previous models with no more than two inches added.
There will be both the 4-door and 2-door versions available. As
for the body frame, it is expected that it will have the heavy
body on frame placed on solid front and rear axles like the
previous generations. The materials used however are expected
to be lighter in weight. Most probably this will be aluminum
which is ideal for better fuel economy and performance.
The front is expected to retain Jeep’s seven-slot grille and
the round headlamps though these may be changed to LED for
modernization sake. Among the changes expected here are a
rearward rake to the windshield and the front turn signals
changing their position to be on the leading edge of the
fenders. At the back, the 2018 Jeep Wrangler Diesel could see
the introduction of X-Pattern taillights borrowed from the
Jeep Renegade. As for the top part, the
removable roof will be replaced with a permanent one with some
removable parts so the car’s body gets more integrity. There
will be three top
from which to use though the details of each are unclear.
On the inside the 2018 Jeep Wrangler Diesel is likely to borrow
heavily from the Renegade. The instrumental panel will be made
up of large round gauges and a configurable instruments
display. The upright dashboard will be fitted with the Connect
touchscreen multimedia system by FCA for infotainment needs.
The seats and upholstery can be expected to look great and
luxurious. There will be more leg room and the cabin will be
2018 Jeep Wrangler Diesel – Engine and Performance
According to a revised product plan released by FCA in early
2017, there will be two options for the power train of the Jeep
Wrangler Diesel 2018. These will however not be available when
the car will be launched but are expected to follow soon after.
The engine expected to launch with the 2018 Wrangler Diesel is
the 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine (used in Ram 1500 pickups). That
produces 240 hp and 420 lb-ft o torque and the 3.6-liter
Pentastar V6 which gives 290 hp though the details are yet
to be confirmed. The 8-speed automatic transmission sourced
from Chrysler’s ZF is likely to be seen in this latest
2018 Jeep Wrangler Diesel – Price and Release Date
This automobile is expected to be launched in late 2017. As for
the price you can expect it to cost no less than $25,000.
